Privacy Statement

Derungs Licht AG takes your personal data protection very seriously. The declaration below presents you with our protection system for your personal data.

General guidelines regarding data protection

Thank you for visiting our website. We are pleased with your interest in our products and services. The Derungs company takes protection of your personal data very seriously and would like to provide you below with an overview of how this protection is secured.

It is possible for you to visit our website without showing personal data and without identifying yourself to us.

However, if you want to make contact with us — especially if you want to take advantage of our services — it may be necessary for us to reference, request, store, process and use information on your identity (personal data such as name, e-mail address, postal address, and telephone number).

We advise you that you are not obligated to reveal your personal data to us. The answer to such questions is always voluntary.

When handling your personal data, we always observe the applicable data protection regulations, especially the requirements of the Swiss federal law on data protection (DSG).

Optimizing the website

We are always trying to make our website a little better for you. For this we use various web analysis tools that give us answers to specific questions, such as: Which pages have you visited? Which links did you click on?

For users from the European Union: The legal basis for processing this data is Article 6, paragraph 1, letter f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legitimate interest comes from the following purposes for data collection: ensuring trouble-free connection, ensuring comfortable use of our website/application, and evaluation of system security and stability.

LinkedIn

Our website also uses plugins from LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter “LinkedIn”). You can recognize these plugins by the LinkedIn logo.
When you visit our websites, a direct connection is created between your browser and the LinkedIn server. From this, LinkedIn detects that you have visited our site with your IP address.
Derungs also uses a “Like” button for LinkedIn. If you click on this button, you will be requested to log onto LinkedIn. Only in this case is a cookie placed on your computer. Are you already logged into LinkedIn and click on the button? Then this information will be transferred to your profile. Then other users — according to your settings — see that you like our site. If you don’t click on the button or are not logged in, no cookie will be placed on your computer.

If you visit a page with a “Like” button, the abbreviated IP address will be transferred. The IP address is then anonymized, so that no inference can be made regarding your computer or you as a user.
Information on data collection (purpose, volume, further processing, use) by LinkedIn and your related rights and settings options to protect your privacy can be found in the data protection notes at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy?trk=uno-reg-guest-home-privacy-policy
The Derungs website uses the following cookies:
• LinkedIN Insight Tag
If you do not want browser cookies to be used, you can set your browser not to accept storage of cookies. Please be aware, however, that you may have only limited use of our website or none at all. If you want to allow only our own cookies but not cookies from our service providers and partners, you can select the setting “Block cookies from third parties” in your browser.

Xing

Our web pages may also use plugins from the social network xing.com (hereinafter “Xing”). It is operated by XING AG, Gänsemarkt 43, 20354 Hamburg, Germany.
If you call up a Derungs web page that contains such a plugin, your browser creates a direct connection to the Xing server. Xing transfers the plugin’s content directly to your browser and integrates it into its website. By integrating the plugin, Xing determines that you have called up the corresponding Derungs web page. If you are logged into Xing at the same time, Xing can associate the visit directly to your Xing account.
Derungs also uses a “Like” button for Xing. If you click on this button, you will be requested to log onto Xing. Only in this case is a cookie placed on your computer. Are you already logged into Xing and click on the button? Then this information will be transferred to your profile. Then other users — according to your settings — see that you like our site. If you don’t click on the button or are not logged in, no cookie will be placed on your computer.
If you visit a site with a “Like” button, the abbreviated IP address will be transferred. The IP address is then anonymized, so that no inference can be made regarding your computer or you as a user.
Information on data collection (purpose, volume, further processing, use) by Xing and your related rights and settings options to protect your privacy can be found in the data protection notes at https://www.xing.com/privacy

YouTube

At our websites, you will also find integrated plugins from YouTube. YouTube belongs to Google Inc., 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. As soon as you visit a Derungs website with a YouTube plugin, your browser connects to the YouTube servers. This tells YouTube which of our websites you have visited. If you are logged into YouTube at the same time, YouTube can associate your browsing behavior with your personal YouTube profile. This association does not occur if you have previously logged out of YouTube.
Derungs also uses a “Like” button for YouTube. If you click on this button, you will be requested to log onto YouTube. Only in this case is a cookie placed on your computer. Are you already logged into YouTube and click on the button? Then this information will be transferred to your profile. Then other users — according to your settings — see that you like our site. Website analysis and online presentation

a) General information about cookies

Some of our websites use cookies. Cookies are used based on article 6 paragraph 1 point (f) GDPR for the purpose of optimising our websites and analysing user accesses ("legitimate interests").

Cookies are small text files which are placed on your end device and which are saved by your browser. Cookies do not harm in any way and do not contain any viruses. Cookies are used to improve the user-friendliness, efficiency and security of our offer. Most of the cookies we use are "transient cookies", in particular, "session cookies". When you leave our websites, they will automatically be erased. They are used, for example, for us to recognise whether you have logged in with your user account. Other cookies will remain on your end device for a certain time ("persistent cookies") and enable us to recognise your browser when you visit us again. We also use cookies to statistically analyse the use of our websites and to optimise our web offer. The storage period depends on the purpose the cookie is used for.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically. You can configure your browser so that you will be informed when cookies are about to be placed and will be able to allow cookies to be placed only on a case-by-case basis, to disable cookies in certain cases or in general, and to delete cookies automatically upon closing of the browser. If you disable cookies, the functionality of our websites may be limited.

b) Web analysis

The following web analysis services are used on our websites:

aa) Google Analytics

Based on article 6 paragraph 1 point (f) GDPR, our websites use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., 600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, Ca 94043, USA ("Google") for needs-oriented design and optimisation of our web presence. Google Analytics uses cookies and creates pseudonymised user profiles. Any information generated by these cookies on your use of our website (browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, IP address and time of server request) is generally transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the US. However, should you access this website from a member state of the European Union or from another country that is party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, Google will truncate and anonymise your IP address before transmission so that assignment is impossible (IP masking). The IP address will not be merged with other Google data. On our behalf, Google will use this information for the purpose of analysing your use of the websites, compiling reports on the website activities and providing the website operator with other services relating to website and Internet usage.

You can prevent cookies from being stored by changing your browser software settings accordingly; however, please be advised that in such a case you might not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. Moreover, you can prevent the transmission of data generated by the cookies and relating to your use of our websites (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of the same by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available on the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

As an alternative to the browser add-on, you can refuse the use of Google Analytics by clicking the following link. An opt-out cookie, which prevents the future collection of your data when visiting this website, will be stored on your end device. Please note that the opt-out cookie will only be stored in this browser and is only valid for our websites; you will need to set the cookie again if you delete the cookies in your browser.

We advise you that on this website, Google Analytics is extended with the code “anonymizeIp” to ensure anonymized collection of IP addresses (called IP masking).

For further information to conditions of use and data privacy in relation to Google Analytics, please refer to the website of Google.

ab) Hotjar web analysis

Our websites use Hotjar, a web analysis service of Hotjar Ltd., Level 2, St Julian's Business Centre, 3, Elia Zammit Street, St Julian's STJ 1000, Malta, Europe ("Hotjar"). The legal basis is article 6 paragraph 1 point (f) GDPR: data is only processed for the purpose of improving our websites and for their needs-oriented design.

It records anonymised interactions of randomly selected individual visitors to the website. This produces a log report, e.g. of mouse movements and clicks, with the aim of identifying the available options for improving our websites. Hotjar uses cookies for this purpose. To eliminate any direct reference to a specific individual, IP addresses are always anonymised before they are stored for further processing. Furthermore, information regarding operating system, browser, incoming and outgoing links, geographical origin as well as resolution and type of devices is analysed for statistical purposes. This information does not contain personal details, and neither we nor Hotjar communicate it to third parties.

If you do not want this data to be logged, you can disable this on all websites that use Hotjar by setting the DoNotTrack header in your browser. For more information, visit https://www.hotjar.com/opt-out

For further information about Hotjar and data processing by Hotjar, please visit the following manufacturer’s web link: https://www.hotjar.com/privacy

c) Google-Remarketing

We use the remarketing technology of Google Inc., 600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, Ca 94043, USA ("Google") on our websites. Processing your data for remarketing purposes is based on article 6 paragraph 1 point (f) GDPR ("legitimate interests"). By using remarketing measures, we want to make sure that you are presented with advertising based on your interests in order to make our web offer even more interesting to you and to avoid annoyance due to uninteresting advertising when visiting other websites.

The Google remarketing function is used to present visitors of our websites with advertisements related to their interests (within the Google advertising network). This is done by means of the cookies stored in your browser. They are used by Google to analyse your usage behaviour when visiting different websites. Google can notice your previous visit to our websites and then present you advertisements of our products and services on other websites that also use the Google remarketing function. According to a statement by Google, data collected for the purpose of remarketing will not be merged with any personal details that may be stored by Google. In particular, only pseudonymised data is used for remarketing according to Google.

If you do not want Google's remarketing function to be applied, you can disable it generally using the settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies for interest-related advertising via the advertising network initiative by following the instructions at http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.
